Meteor meetup in New York City

A colorful NYC meetup by Nitya Narasimhan, Steven Dale, and Eulani Labay

Meetup groups are emerging at a rapid clip as new volunteers step up in cities around the globe.Charlotte and Singapore both held their first-ever Meteor meetup events last week. Singapore showed impressive attendance for a first meetup, with 42 RSVPs! Kudos to Charlotte meetup captains Torgny BjersJill Bjers, and Mark Shropshire, and to Singapore captain Ahmed Jamal.

Meanwhile, Meteor NYC (one of the largest and oldest Meteor groups) has three new captains -Nitya NarasimhanSteven Dale, and Eulani Labay. Between the three of them, they've been able to bring a ton of energy and planning to their first co-organized meetup, which took place yesterday evening at the ThoughtWorks office. Like I've mentioned before, meetups with multiple organizers are very promising, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what they cook up next.

These cities also have new volunteers who are actively planning their first local meetups, so join up if you're nearby!

If you'd like to see Meteor events in your own city, please e-mail us at community@meteor.com so Jade can help you get involved. You can find a directory of existing Meteor groups atmeteor.meetup.com. In addition to the Boulder/Denver/Vancouver meetup on the 21st, here are some more cities with events coming up in the next couple weeks:

Jade and I look forward to hearing from you!
